1. Lake Travis
Number one on the list is Lake Travis. You definitely have to check this place out! It is a huge lake with tons of activities, stunning views and open year round, located north west of Austin.
2. Possum Kingdom Lake
Located west of Fort Worth, this lake has crazy hills, cliffs and trails. You can swim, boat and drive around. It’s also home to Hell’s Gate, a really awesome cliff formation that Red Bull hosts it’s cliff diving season at! Definitely a breath-taking view.
3. Lake Texoma
North of Dallas, right on the Texas and Oklahoma border, this lake offers a beautiful, peaceful escape from the world.

4. Caddo Lake
This magical lake is located just east of Longview. Sporting it’s eerie surroundings really goes well with the
nearby town of Jefferson, which is known to be haunted.
5. Lake Whitney
Located south of Fort Worth, Lake Whitney is also home to the White Bluff Resort. This lake features huge cliffs
and wonderful views.
